Salsarita’s Franchising, LLC (“Salsarita’s”) is committed to protecting your privacy when you visit us online. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share the information you provide when you visit our websites (the “Sites”). It also explains how you can get information or express concerns about the Sites. By visiting or using the Sites, you give us your consent to collect, use, store, and share your information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not consent, then do not use our Sites. INFORMATION WE COLLECT We collect personally identifiable information (“PII”), such as your name, physical address, email address, and telephone number, and non-personally identifiable information (“non-PII”), such as your gender, birth date, and interests, when you voluntarily provide that information to us. This may occur, for example, when you participate in our Cantina Club, make a general inquiry, complete a customer survey, or inquire about a franchising opportunity. (Please note that Givex, which administers our Cantina Club, has its own Privacy Policy, accessible when you visit the Cantina Club.) We may collect by automated means certain non-PII, such as your IP address; your computer or mobile device operating system, browser type, and identifier; the addresses of websites that refer you to our Sites, and the pages you visit on our Sites. We may share your PII with our franchisees, restaurant operators, and outside service providers such as marketing, mailing, and IT vendors and contest and reward program administrators that have agreed to follow our Privacy Policy in handling this information. We may retain the PII and other information that you provide to us, but we do not currently sell this information to any third parties. We may use the non-PII we collect from and about you to provide products and services to you, to develop new products, to develop, review, and improve our services to you, to offer you customized content and advertising, and to address problems. We may also use non-PII in other ways as described to you at the point of collecting the information. We may retain or share non-PII with third parties. COOKIES AND PIXEL TAGS Cookies are pieces of information that a website transfers to your hard drive for record keeping purposes. Cookies make web surfing easier for you by saving your passwords, purchases, and preferences while you are visiting and using our website. Salsarita’s relies on cookies to see how our site is used and to make improvements based on that information that are intended to improve your experiences on our Sites. We may also use cookies to make ads more relevant to you and to learn whether you have visited our Sites after seeing an ad on another platform, such as Facebook. You may occasionally get cookies from our advertisers and partners, such as Google. We use Google Adwords advertising on our Sites. Pixel tags (sometimes called “clear GIFs”) are small graphic files, invisible to the human eye, that allow websites or other online services to track users. We use pixel tags to bring you more targeted, useful, and interesting advertising content. We do not use pixel tags to identify specific individuals. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY Salsarita’s takes special precautions with children’s privacy, and we have developed privacy practices in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”). DO NOT TRACK SIGNALS California Business & Professions Code Section 22575(b) (as amended effective January 1, 2014) provides that California residents are entitled to know how Salsarita’s responds to “Do Not Track” browser settings. We currently do not respond to Do Not Track signals because a uniform technological standard has not yet been developed. We may adopt a standard once one is created.
